Soft aromas of vanilla and oak along with lively ripe blackberry and mocha give way to full flavors of cassis, ripe plums, and a brambly fruit. As the wine undresses it reveals its silky elegance of black cherry and it's joyful character. The traditional blend of Merlot and Cabernet creates a lively mouth texture dissolving the complex tannins into a graceful long finish.

The 2012 Mankas Crest rosé was produced with the first juice from the crush of the mid-October harvest of our 2012 Suisun Valley Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Fermented dry in oak barrels, it was exposed only shortly to oak to fully maintain its fragrances and bottled 6 months after fermentation. The result is a light, fruity and fragrant rosé with the finish of a complex Cabernet Sauvignon.
