A silver medal winner at the 2005 L.A. County Fair Wine Competition, this Cabernet was crafted with the harvest of the younger vines of our vineyard. It displays a big fruit profile, which combined with 18 months of aging in a mix of oak barrels, gives this wine a delicate balance of aromas and flavors. It is a great Cabernet to enjoy with daily foods.

Winemaker’s Comments

Our 2002 Mankas Cabernet Sauvignon offers a unique perspective of the Mankas Hills wines. The majority of the grapes, making up this blend, came from the younger vines of our vineyard and were harvested in late September. The wine was aged for 18 months in a mix of French, European and American oak barrels. It displays a big fruit profile which harmonizes elegantly with round oak aromas. This wine partners remarkably well with food without overpowering your meal.
